Come collaborate with friends and colleagues from around the South Dakota conference for a day of re-connecting with the history, polity and theology at the heart of the United Church of Christ. Designed for the casually curious and devoted church nerd alike, we will explore how the UCC proclaims, works, equips, and engages each part of the denomination as the hands and feet of Christ in the world. Through videos, conversation and activities we’ll uncover some of the UCC hidden histories, explore how it has grown to the church it is today, and look at how the UCC and the South Dakota Conference are moving towards a bright future. Facilitated by Rev. Ellis Arnold, associate conference minister in the Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota Conferences UCC and voices from around South Dakota, the day will be one not only of learning and discovery but also one that will resource and equip leaders to teach central parts of our UCC identity in their own congregations.
