COURSE REQUIREMENTS FOR CLASSES MEETING IN DES MOINES
- READING
The book(s) are to be read before the first class, as assigned by the instructor. Sometimes a second or third book will be read between classes. Some instructors will ask for a written response or statement.
- PARTICIPATION
Each course has two distinct class sessions separated by approximately four to six weeks.
Each class session is comprised of a Friday evening, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and a Saturday morning and afternoon, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Full class participation is expected in order to receive credit. If a participant must miss any part of class time, the entire course must be repeated.
- PROJECTS
The project is discussed with and approved by the instructor. Some instructors may require a written proposal. It should be related to or applicable to the participant’s current church setting.
After the second class, the participants can make any changes or corrections to their projects as suggested by instructor and resubmit them to the instructor. Deadline: one month after second class meeting.
